Limoges is a place in France, not a company or person. The initials GDA in each of the marks in the first picture indicates that both the maker of the blanks and the decorator company have names with GDA as the initials.

The CH Field Haviland in the latest image is the decorator of the piece or pieces on which it appears, but may also be the importer from Limoges.

So, are these worth purchasing for resale? Are they worth anything?

Sorry to say I have no experience with buying this kind of thing for resale. I'm sure another member who does will be along.

The sad fact is that nobody wants full sets of 'grandma's china' anymore. I'd suggest you check out sold items on eBay.

Run,dont walk away . Nobody uses fine china anymore. You see tons in thrifts for nothing. I donated 3 sets in my recent move. I couldnt even get $20 for any of it. Sad but true.

Yeah, most of them I've seen have been parted and pieced out for sale of individual pieces.

GDA stands for Gerard, Duffraisseix & Morel. They were a company in the Limgoes region that took over the CFH (Charles Field Haviland) business when Charles Field retired. The above marks date to about 1941.

I wouldn't buy it either as there are virtually no buyers for this type of china and unknown pattern. It's pretty and you might be able to piece it out, but it would take forever and before it was all sold, you would hate it and want to throw it in the nearest dumpster. At a live auction it would go for about $15 or so (in central Ohio).

@bercrystal , that does look like it. I think I am going to pass on it. Hate to see lovely china discarded, but I just don't have room for more! LOL!
