Featured Application for a date with a Sailor

Was this a real thing? i found three copy's of this application in a binder i purchased with furniture drawings from the early 1960's
Just thought i would show it. "Does your Father have a gun" Really!
Any comments welcomed.

Would be good for Fleet Week. LOL, that is interesting but that is all I got.

 

I'd think that is really useful information.
And this one: "do you realise sailors are precious and loveable". (No, I didn't.)

 

But are you capable of taking care of one? Lol

 

My "any comments"... It's mimeographed. Although jitterbug and swing dances are associated with the 1930s and 1940s, pedal pushers and toreador pants were fashionable in the 1950s and 1960s. So think not World War II related but a bit later. Just before rock 'n roll became mainstream. Contemporary to the other items in binder most likely.

Interesting. But surely not... The questions about the ‘boyfriend’ and ‘type of lipstick’ and ‘taste’ sounds dodgy and make things questionable (ha ha) And Vital statistics....! (come on!)In the 50’s and 60’s if you ask a lady her bust size didn’t they almost want to put you in jail...

I enjoyed reading the forward questions on the original too!

By original what do you mean? 1940's? People buy these things?

By "original" - I meant you have (3) of the mimeographed copies spoken about in the articles above, so that's much more desirable than the remake! Yes, people buy old paper goods. I would list them online and would probably sell all 3 together in a BIN.

 

Can't be earlier than 1948 because that was the year pedal pushers were introduced.
