Artist J. Peccola?

Wondering if anyone knows this artist. It appears to be a J. Peccola or J. Piccola or something similar. There is also engraved in the paint Del Porto which I am guessing is the location. It would seem this might be in Italy but not sure. Any thoughts on this one? The size of the piece is 18 3/4" x 10 3/8".

I don’t think so. Signatures don’t match from what I can see (the examples I found always had ‘James’)

 

Del Porto means "Of the port" in Italian. I see J. Piccola too.

Yes. As a wild guess I thought the scene might depict Del Porto boats in ‘old’ Napoli (Campania)

 

As J. Piccola , Peccola , Piccolo , Peccolo I didn't find any artist.
Maybe it's a work of an amateur painter.

 

Think you're right re Naples. Castel Sant'Elmo on Vomero Hill in background.
