    Hello All !
Whilst on my travels I've come across this unusual ceramic (?) figure of a hotdog, presumably used for advertising purposes in the USA (1950's, maybe - IF genuine).

Because of the plethora of fakes and deco items currently circulating, I thought it better to keep my distance and resist the temptation to try and make a fast buck, so to speak. In any case, it's not particularly cheap. However, I would nevertheless be very interested to learn a bit more about this slightly grotesque caricature, should anyone happen to have seen one in the past.

I've only got the two pics at the moment and can't give any dimensions. Sorry.

Ha ha very cool. I see there are a number of ‘hotdog man statues’ (cappy dawg) examples online.. Also different sizes and materials used. This one looks like wood to me personally (but I couldn’t find other wooden ones,so I might be very wrong) Yes,I would also think vintage.

I think it is wood too, and it could be an 1990s decor item, but let's wait for the others.

komo, some of us here prefer ketchup (and onions) on our hot dogs, but if it helps calm your Canadian nerves, we also prefer vinegar on our french fries... Now if only we could find some decent poutine south of the border...
