Is it a Chinese Meiping Vase or Early American Styled Pottery?

Hi!...This is part of todays Haul via an Estate sale......It a Meiping shaped vase....approx. 11 in ht x 6 in width at the widest point..it has a rustic appearance much like early american pottery....it does have a couple of cracks on the sides....I bought it because the shape reminds me of a Chinese Meiping vase that I have....and its also similar to some pics of older/earlier Chinese pottery in color design etc...except for the iridescent reddish/pinkish color that can be seen on top of the dark brown color at certain angles....I don't think that color would have been available in China a couple hundred years ago....so I'm leaning towards early American style....and there are a couple of marks on the foot that I cant quite make out....if someone can shed some light on this vase...that would be great.....

 

To me it looks more like Western studio pottery.
