Age of this chair?

    Found this chair at a tag sale. It is super heavy...looks like mahogany. It looks neoclassical to me. Really nice quality and construction. At $10 it was a deal.     Would say Federal if American. Seems to be hand carved so may have a period piece or an older copy. A bit out of my wheelhouse so wait for others to have a look.

    The design does have late 18th C. elements. I have no idea how old it is but quite possibly not 20th C.
