Curious little crocodile bronze

Hi all,got this little unsigned (weird but cool) bronze last week. Looks like a croc with a odd head (in shape and proportion) The head looks more like that of maybe a big monitor lizard or something (to me)There’s also these webbed skin ‘flaps’ behind the legs. What happened here? Is this ‘deliberate’ or just somebody’s screw-up? It’s about 27cm in length and the body is about 5cm wide. Please let me know what you think. Thanks and keep

It is sweet. Well made, but by someone who had never seen a croc?
Looks like it has some age too, nice wear on the soles of the feet.
I take it you haven't been able to find any marks?
I wonder if it could be Japanese.

Thanks for the comment. I was also thinking that is was of good quality and well made. The body itself is almost spot-on but that head.. With the body being so near ‘perfect’ I would think they should know what the head looks like.. Yes,unfortunately no marks. Japanese maybe? (I will do some
more searching) Maybe a artist interpretation of some creature?

You know, after looking at various crocodiles, I must say that Chinese alligators have very cute faces. Not such big "ears" but very sweet.

Cuddly ? LOL.. ever since I learned that Salt water crocs were right on the other side from Cloud Nine, Siargao, Philippines where I have bodyboarded , and also in Palawan ( southern ) where I swear I saw drag marks in El Nido, Palawan (Northern), in a volcanic island lagoon that is land locked at high tide , I find them to be just nasty, creepy ...and this is from the 20 year firefighter and 2-1/2 year Animal Control officer who isn't easily creeped out ... I also am not a fan of snakes .... but I do like that bronze , I will admit...
