It was about to be a bust until I stumbled over a cardboard box of lovelies. All nice and cheap :smug: 16029E9A-1AA6-451D-B326-0396A7B7A586.jpeg
    1) Looks pretty old. All wired together. Clasp needs attention.

    2) Peach coloured glass.

3)Lilac and clear beads. The lumpy ones at the top were all made in one piece but have broken fairly neatly into several pieces.

    4) Nice green glass beads

    5) Brown/burgundy glass beads.

    6) Not sure about these red ones. Assumed vintage glass but they have so many holes and imperfections. End of day beads?

Could the red ones be stone?

I don’t know. My gem tester is on strike and saying everything is metal  so I’ll try again later.

Chips or no chips, my favorite is that uranium glass necklace!

Fun score on these. Last minute day-saving cardboard box you found. :)

What a haul! All so interesting and unusual. The uranium glass beads make me hungry for watermelon!

Mine too. I’m like a kid when I find something that glows :blackalien:

I would have chosen that piece as favorite even if it didn't glow!

I never look for uranium glass for some reason. When you saw that necklace did you think, "hmmm, wonder if this is uranium glass?" If yes, what about it gave you the hint?

The red beads may be coral.

    Thanks Holly.
I did cross my mind if they could be but wasn’t sure of the shape of the beads or the very red colour.
Should I try some acetone carefully to see if they are dyed?
Does that bead shape have a name? I’ve never seen coral beads that shape………not that that means anything.

The spots and pigment concentrations resemble heavily dyed bamboo coral.

The uranium glass beads are my favourite though, beautiful, subtle colour combination.:)
