Hi Folks, Have had this MCM set for a long time (bought in 1970's in upstate NY). Time to downsize it out as we never used it once.

Given the shape of the pitcher and glasses and the stirring rod would you call it a wine pitcher and glasses or ? Also, what's your opinion on selling with an odd number (5) glasses, or holding one back for a more "conventional" set of four.

    Thanks! -Joe

I don't have my glass books with me but I seem to recall Morgantown did some similar. I love that thick foot on the drinking glass! and as far as five glasses go, it is nice in case you break one......which I always point out

    no size...so i'll say juice...or lemonade ....

sell 5 ...so the buyer has an extra when one breaks..

The stirring rod is a muddler, used to crush fruit and sugar at the bottom of the pitcher before adding the liquor. Definitely a cocktail set. Very nice!

Wonderful info! Thanks everyone. Knowing it's a cocktail set will help narrow down a price for it. We loved looking at it, but it's time for someone else to get excited about it! -Joe
