Have a look at the nape of the neck under the hair, sometimes makers marks are there.

She is a cutie. She reminds me of a doll I had in the early 50's called a Saucy Walker but not quite the same.

    Hi!

Not much help I'm afraid. That's an unusual walking mechanism on the body.......The body looks to be of hard plastic.......is the face the same or is it composition?

I think she could be English......

By "blinking" eyes, do you mean they do something other than just open or close? Open/close are called "sleep" eyes.

And.....altho I know you have looked, sometimes one must pry the wig up a bit further from the neck to see a mark......sometimes it's there.

I'll do some checking as the day progresses.

    Meantime I'll tag @BoudiccaJones.

To me what is unusual about the mechanism is the fact that it's exposed. I can't recall ever coming across this.

I've checked out a couple of the Roddy dolls, but their walkers are different.

Curious, does her head and arms move when the legs do?

Hi thank you all , her eyes close when laid down and she makes some sort of noise , her head is plastic as well as arms and there’s wood used at the top of legs .Had a good look around the back of head looked as much as I can but nothing there. If I hold her up she can walk as I move her one leg swings after another as if she’s walking herself.

And.....did you look further under the wig for a mark?

It can be difficult to pry as the glue really does stick!

Further research via the net may provide ID of the mechanism which could provide the companies that used it.
