Help identify antique dolls

    (Judy, my feeling was he was trying to say that he wasn't personally responsible for them being in existence, not that he thought you'd said he'd sewn them.) x

    I (reluctantly) come across these every now & again, they usually are hand sewn and vintage as opposed to antique when I see them xxx

    I also think 70s is likely. The fact that the house is 80 yrs old, doesn't mean its contents are.
    This is the interior of a 16th century house in the Netherlands, clearly none of the contents are 16th century:

    Just did a bit more searching..........quite a bit of a difference between Antique and Vintage.

    I learned in this link that even Steiff made them. They, I could imagine, would bring a pretty good high dollar, for rariety and workmanship.

    In order for you to be fully satisfied with what you have, it must be seen by someone with experience in the doll world.

    Daylyn's statement of "I didn't make them" wasn't necessary to state........why post the question of age/worth if they were the
    maker? The truth would already be known.:cat:

    Goliwogs were around in England in the 1950's and 1960's, as I remember.
