Featured Inlaid wood marble top table chest - ?????

    I found this beautiful piece of furniture and I have no idea what it is. What do you call a piece like this. End table, chest, small credenza, ????. It looks to be fairly old. The inside may have had drawers at one time. the detail on the inlay is beautiful. Is it French, maybe Italian. Any help identifying would be appreciated. Thank you!     I think it might be a chamber pot holder ? It is gorgeous,I love the mother of pearl inlay.

    exactly. nightstand with potty compartment.
    probably an Italian interpretation of French Empire.

    Commode stand sort of thing. Marble top for a wash basin & ewer.

    Thanks so much for all your help. I think this one is a keeper. Although my daughter now calls it the poop table. Can't please everyone...

    Probably Mid to late 19th century. Could you show drawer bottom and back of piece?

    You can correct her - the proper name is poop cabinet :bored:
