    Any ideas which stones could be possible candidates please?
    Ovals are 1.5cm long.

    It had crossed my mind, as had Iona marble (similar thing, probably the same vein of stone that surfaces in different places). But then I thought, no, can't be, on an Asian looking necklace.
    I could be wrong.

    Is that the cord, the knots or the curly finding that make it Asian?

    The curly finding looked Asian to me, as did those flat oval beads on a knotted cord.
