What is the medium? What do you know about it? Could/would you post a photograph of the front and back including frame?

The sight size is 11.5 x 9 and it appears to be a watercolor and gouache. 20211123_191146.jpg 20211123_191212.jpg

Naive, simply done, but there is something I really like about it :)

It does have a nice appealing look and I just purchased it on an impulse but wish I could decipher the signature.

You can always open the back to see if there's additional information. The kraft paper can be replaced by any frame shop.

Got excited when Google told me there was a painting of sailboats by an S. Parnel for sale on etsy. Not your artist, alas.

Latest image looks like P Larner or Sarner to me. But the earlier image seems to have initials U or V and G.

Now that the back has been revealed, it appear to have been painted on an illustration board, maybe cold-pressed? The medium might be qouache as it apprears pretty opaque. IMO
