    Happy Thanksgiving all.
This is a piece i am probably going to keep and i would like to find out what the signature is if anyone can read Japanese
It is real bamboo 4 1/4" x 15 1/2". Looks to be carved and lacquered.

Similar to Chinese scholar's wrist rest used for painting and calligraphy. You'll see a lot of examples if you do a search on Google with "bamboo wrist rest Chinese (or Japanese) scholars." Given yours is 15 1/2" long, may be just a wall hanging decorative piece... or someone just decided to hang it up...

    Thank you @JayBee
That search shows a lot of Chinese wrist rests as you said. I just used the term wall hanging which brought up more in Japanese.
I have found a few like this but not signed.
