Hello I've searched the internet looking for a similar candelabra but haven't found anything with the same animal type feet or size. Interested in date and origin. It's a huge size at 35" tall and 23" wide. Weighs about 11 pounds. Pretty sure it's brass. Than Thank you in advance. It is a church candelabra, and I agree, cast brass. It was probably one of a pair, but these pairs often get split up.
The style is 19th century Gothic Revival with a bit of Renaissance Revival thrown in. 19th Century Historic Revival was often a mix of styles. My date guesstimate is 1880s.

Thank you! Can you tell me what the animal on the feet is or represents? It looks like a lion with a bird head to me.

I can't see them well enough to tell, but those were usually imaginary beasts. They have no specific meaning to the candelabra other than decorative.

The only difference is the twisted column on mine. Sizes are about the same. Kind of exciting to see that price!

Also, they are saying enameled but mine looks more like painted. Theirs are more cleaned up as well.

Griffins (usually with wings, but not always). In medieval mythology, guardians of the faith or something.
