Old Damascus Sewing machine attachment

    Hi, This piece came with an old Damascus sewing machine, it is oval and 3-1/2" long, any idea what this is?

    I'm almost certain that this isn't a sewing machine attachment. I'm familiar with most common sewing machine attachments and this doesn't look like any of them.

    Also - if it IS a sewing machine attachment, it would have the machine company punched into the metal somewhere (for example, all SINGER attachments were stamped "SIMANCO" - SInger MANufacturing COmpany).

    If it doesn't have that, then it's not likely to be a sewing attachment.
