German jug, anything special?

Appears to be from the 1970s.

In that case, wouldn't it say either W. Germany or GDR?
I would guess before the partition.

i was just going from the "look" of the thing, accepting it was German made

 

I'm thinking that the numbers are 275-17 with that Continental looking 1. If you search that number there are quite a lot out there, many saying they are Scheurich though not sure where that's coming from so don't know if its right.

Scheurich: (1954-current) Although the started late, Scheurich produced more items from the 1960s through the 1980s than any of the other art pottery companies. As usual, high production numbers means a wide range of quality and quality control, but some items, especially glazes are major achievements. Note: the embossed three circle mark was used 1990-2004, so such items are not from the most collectible era. Scheurich used white/buff clay, but the foot is sometimes stained slightly by the glaze, making it look light red/brown.

 

I think you'll find it's Jasba. Post WW2. Some of the MCM stuff simply says Germany.
