What is this use for, ID?

My brother sent me these images from his friend asking me(hahaha) of all people as if I knew what this was used for. *shrugs*. The mark looks very cheaply done too. Any one recognizes this item?

 

Plant stand? Just a guess from someone who knows very little about your item.

 

I would think that too, but why put a planter on the main decoration would boggle my mind.

To be honest, I think he also does not know what this is actually for and made up the term “Low Stand” for lack of any thing else to call it. As if there are so many low stands out there.

Somehow I am thinking there was a rope/twine of some kind that was tied around the middle and it was hanging on a wall. It looks as if there is wear marks around the middle. Just guessing.

 

That's about the most inventive and unusual guess I've seen in a while, marco.
