Hallmark on Blue and white bread box

    I still have a breadbox on my kitchen counter, 1930's metal with a slide up lid and red bakelite knob ... I use it for plastic shopping bags as I freeze my loaves of bread. ... Joy.

    I have a 50's bread box on my counter too. I used to keep bread in it but am eating less bread so freeze it too:). It came from a yard sale years ago and isn't anywhere as nice as the one here.

    I have a manual typewriter from the early 20's. My grandkids are little and love it. Actually over Thanksgiving my 30-something daughter was playing around with it and was baffled because she couldn't find the "1" key. (Which of course it doesn't have). I told her to type the small "L" and she thought that was the dumbest thing she'd ever seen. :D
