I have this art piece, it seems like a woodcarving, it is heavy, weighing 2 lbs, 15 inches wide and 6 inches tall. It seems to be carved out of one piece and hand painted. It has a mark in the lower right corner maybe Japanese or Chinese.
Just wondering if it's a fairly modern tourist gift or maybe something else. I took some up close photos for you all. Thanks in advance for your help!

Welcome back, Bobby! From the backing, your item does appear to be fairly modern. It also appears to be resin rather than wood.

(By "fairly modern," I mean 1960s-1970s.)

I definitely see molded resin meant to look like wood. Resin is quite heavy.

I agree with resin and it may even be a cast - not carved.

Based on the clothing on the figures, it may be Korean.
