Help with UK hallmark

    Hello

    I’m stuck on the hallmark on this silver ladle as it doesn’t have a town mark, please help.

    I think it is most likely Sheffield 1824.

    a clear ( and cleaned ) photo of the stamp would be nice as there are 13 SP listed

    .... if it is SP ???

    Thank you everybody. Is there some rule about town assay marks not being required that I don’t know about?

    It was fairly common for lighter weight spoons, usually London - its purpose was to discourage patching the marks into larger pieces in attempts to dodge the full duty...
