Blurred Stamp

    It's fine, I've seen lids like that. Staffordshire made and mid 19th. I'd have to search every page in Godden to remember who.

    I'd love to see the base of that thing. It's far too heavy and badly transfer printed for "Royal Doulton" of the period.

    Nah. Never Doulton in a milion years. Might be Woods or someone, I'll have a think.

    Frustratingly, no luck, but hey, next time.
    Talking of next time, I have a Chinese bamboo item I would like to ask about but I don't see an oriental section or wood?
    Where should I post it?
    Any ideas?
