Royal Stafford Tea/Coffee Set

    1940s or 50s, one of the "lesser" Staffordshire makers. Pretty, but not great value. Use it. ;)

    I found a little info on the mark. Because it says England rather than Made in England, it would suggest a date usually after 1891 but before the 1921 due to tariff laws though it varies somewhat.

    Godden's Encyclopaedia of British Marks show this mark as Thomas Poole, Cobden Works, Longton mark, 1912+. The mark it shows next in date is different (1929-40) and does include "Made in England". Using that as a guide it would suggest your mark was 1912-1929 so a guess of that or a range of 1912-1921 are reasonable suggestions.

    Here is your mark and a little about Poole which was in business from 1880-1952 it then became Royal Stafford China when merged with another firm.

    Could be, it doesn't specifically say when it stopped being used. It only gives clues on what date range it might be.
