  1. Good afternoon (at least here it is),

I'd like to know a little bit more about this nice parrot.
A few words I came across were:
1872, Carl Thieme, crown, Germany, Potschappel, Sachsen
but I've no idea wether any of it makes any sense.
I'm sure there's someone out there who can shed some light on it?
    Thank you all in advance.
    Greetings, Johan

    The impressed mark... 1373 IT?
IT may indicate Italy, which would support Capodimonte.

The crown over N mark was never copyrighted and can be used by anybody, so I don't know if you will ever get a definitive answer.

That’s more likely a Dresden crowned N, the decorators mark. The blank was made elsewhere in Germany.

Surely not Capodimonte. Their work always seems a fussy and a bit over the top. This fellow is an elegant simple beautifully moulded sculpture. I'd punt for one of the German porcelain factories but maybe not Dresden [personal feeling only] because it is too 'natural'. I almost felt that eye following me.

  12. There's one more detail I forgot to show: a littke flower painted on the right side of the tailfeathers. Sier-56197884-papegaai-keramiek-wit-14.jpg
