Featured interesting st christopher pendant

hi folks

found this interesting looking pendant in an antiquey type shop today, quite liked it for £3

wondering how old it might be, and where it might have came from

no idea what its made from, quite thick and heavy, wonky shape

any thoughts appreciated

Maybe it's a keychain. Saint Christopher the patron saint of drivers

 

Wouldn't surprise me. I've seen similar.

 

The style looks 1960s. I like the enamel. It was probably used or worn daily.

St Christopher is the patron saint of travellers in general, because he carried travellers across a dangerous river.
Christopher was big and strong, but when he helped a small boy, the child became heavier and heavier and almost too much for Christopher to carry. When they arrived on the other shore, the child made himself known as Jesus and said he carried the weight of the world on his shoulders.

On the other side is Our Lady of Perpetual Protection. So double safety on a potentially perilous journey.
