Unusual Art Day at Thrift Store Today - Help w/Some Unusual Paintings

Not sure why but there were a lot of unusual paintings at a local thrift store today - and I ended up buying 6 or 7!

Here are 2 - the first I'll take any kind of info or thoughts on it; it's ... different! And at the bottom it has either a unusual language or symbols - it's a little creepy to be honest!
What are the characters? Where is it from?

The 2nd is a large abstract signed Johnathan - does anyone know who the artist is?

Tiki bar/rumpus room art for the first one. I'd bet on the writing being a Polynesian language, just don't ask me to read it. The abstract? Not a clue, but I doubt you'll ever find out who Jonathan was.

 

Tiki really? lol I was thinking the exorcism when I looked at that writing!
But they were only $19.95 each so I can charge $50 each right? I only took a chance on these 2 because the price was cheap & maybe if get lucky because they're so unusual.
