I don’t know anything about this….and as usual I’m hoping/guessing someone here does. What I can tell you is they’re almost potato chip thin. The scenes on the saucer are repeated on the cup…there’s enough variation that I can tell theyre not transferred or printed images. The glaze is very metallic in places giving off coppery-gold shimmers.
    That’s all I got!

Your cup and saucer appear to be Kutani ware. The mark on the cup bottom may be one of the generic Kutani marks but the glare is obscuring at least part of the mark, so another pic without the glare would help.

See this Kutani section - https://www.gotheborg.com/marks/kutani.shtml

As @Bakersgma mentioned it is Japanese Kutani ware, very early 20th century. The base marks are just rushed (piecework production) and they say 'Kutani' in Japanese. This thin for of porcelain is known as 'eggshell'

Might those have lithophanes in the bottoms? Those are always a sweet surprise! baa9d5f5742aedf326977632a99b4e72.jpg

    Thanks everyone!
Initially the marks looked like different characters but on closer inspection it seemed to be just a different stroke…but then again in the photos they look different..

    Unfortunately not.
