    Hi All,
I picked these up yesterday, seeing as it is the Christmas season I thought they would be good to share.
    Eaton's Toyland photos with Santa 1953 & 1957
no idea who the kids in the photo are, one is signed 'To Grandma' with first names only so it is impossible to track them down unless some recognizes them:)
They are in excellent condition so they must have been tucked away all these years.

Do you suppose it's beard and the red suit that makes little kids afraid? Like clowns?

Yes, I think that's it .. MY kids were
certainly not eager to sit on his lap .. often screamed. In the end it was just "see" Santa without getting close ... Joy. :)

Judging by the ages of the kids in the 1953 photo, they would be about 68-70 years old today. They were probably inadvertently tossed when disposing of Grandma's household effects. Wouldn't it be some kind of Christmas miracle if a connection could be made?
Seasons Greeting to all, it's been a great learning experience to stop by here on the daily.

Kids are sometimes afraid of Santa, but they usually love Mrs. Claus because she reminds them of Grammy. ;). There's a RPPC (real photo post card) page on Facebook and at Christmas they were showing a lot of these. Also, the Golden Glow of Christmas Past people collect these.
