Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me identify what this item is? It says Paris on it so I believe it was made there? I really have no idea what it is. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Agree with @komokwa it is some sort of gas burned for heating something, perhaps a tool, branding iron etc

I believe you are all right about it being a gas burning heater of some kind. The little part sticking up in the middle is really easy to push down. Screenshot_20220220-143023_Gallery.jpg

So I assume a tool of some sort rests on that and activates the burner while it sits on it and turns off when pulled off?
    Screenshot_20220220-143106_Gallery.jpg

And these to parts are for holding the handle and the top of the tool being warmed?

    Thanks for all your help!
