Unusual Brass type metal dish Egyptian? Maat?

I bought this unusual dish along with a joblot of more common brasses. It is very heavy and I think it might have the Egyptian goddess Maat embossed on it. The more i look at it and try to find similar types online it would appear to be of some age its approx 8 inches in width. I wonder if any of you obliging experts can tell me more please. But I'm not seeing a star pattern in the bottom of @JOHN Hutchinson's

 

I think there "might" be something written on the bottom though it might be like looking at clouds, nothing there but a vivid imagination.

 

Had a close look under microscope I couldnt see anything.
