No marks. Were my grandmother’s, but I have no clue if they’re relatively modern or what.

I think the answer is "or what". No idea if prices on Depression glass are improving.

    Ditto! :) Great ID TallCakes!

I think some depression glass is seeing a bit of revival. The green especially. If any shows up at our thrift, it is gone within seconds.

welcome... both would be depression era. the cake plate is fairly common as it was reported to be included as premium with flour back in the day...

Thanks! There are at least one more of each in other colors, but none of them are blue, so I will be letting them go. These are things I picked out ~30 years ago, when my grandmother downsized, so it’s lovely to have some information.

Not an expert in old plates but as a chef I can tell you the function of the first clear plate. Grill plate makes sense from a function standpoint. The raised edges are so juices or sauces don't run into each other and marry. The bottom (largest) part of the plate is where you place the protein or the focus of the dish. The two smaller compartments are complimentary to the main like a starch and vegetable. Could also be a pickle where you don't necessarily want the vinegar base to run into other components on the plate. Clear glass is usually cold, but I've used it for hot foods too

It would be fun to present on especially a popular dish of the time period. You could decorate/ garnish the (rims) or even disguise them with complimentary flavors.

    Cool plate!

I'd use the green plate for tea service. Not a single large cake but for lots of small bite size cakes and sweets meant for a traditional English tea. You could decorate with edible flowers or candies
