Featured Victorian chair

You are right. I read horsehair and I immediately thought of contents. I was given an old three quarter bed from my mother that had a horsehair and I recall feathers and straw in it's mattress. Yuk! garbage it had a smell. But I do recall some old furniture with horsehair also. But those memories are over 40 years ago. My first house I renovated had horsehair and newspaper in the walls. I never realized horses had so much hair to be had. I’ve got to look up the fabric you mentioned. That’s a 1st for me. I had to get used to the idea of dead ancestors hair collected and put in jars with a hole to be braided and put in jewelry too.

It IS! Most people have seen only the old black original dusty, beat-up versions, and don't realize what it is. It's nearly indestructible. With a good cleaning it has a nice sheen to it.
