Large brown-black gemstone in 9ct gold

    Hello

    i have this large emerald cut stone set in an unmarked 9ct gold pendant.

    Im not sure what stone it is. It looks conpletely black, unless you hold it up to a bright light, then it looks brownish.

    2.6cm drop excluding loop & bale, 2.2cm width. 13.6g

    Could also be obsidian, some high quality pieces can have this clarity and tone and there doesn't seem to be any facet doubling. The way it's cut also fits with this stone.
