Featured Carved wooden box with curved lid

    I buy the odd box to sell job lots of jewellery in but the more I look at this one the more I like it.
    I was thinking Indian but I’m not sure. The inside looks quite new but WDIK! If hand carved it would have taken ages. It’s a decent size at 8” x 4.5”
    Any ideas please?

    Yes, Indian (but someone else will have to tell you the region.) It appears to be a card case.

    Doesn’t have to be old and valuable to be a nice keeper. I like it too!

    This type of ware was a very popular import in the 1970s. Of course, could be later.
