Chinese Inkstone

Old Chinese Inkstone With Carving of Immortal God Shouxing. Inkstone measures 4 5/8" x 3 1/4" and stands 7/8" tall. Any idea how old this is?

 

First trick is search the usual places, ebay, etsy, aliexpress, if you see a few matching ones then you know it is recent.

I had what looked like a decent early inkstone (can be very valuable), showed it 5 people who had knowledge of them, got 5 different answers as to age, type etc so went with the mid ground. Listed on website etc and no interest lol. This seems to be one of those subjects that you can't get a decent handle on unless you have access to a true expert.

 

Ce BCA. I searched Ebay and looked at Sotheby's completed...nothing like mine that I saw. I do have access to a true expert. Just waiting to hear back. They are in a busy time and I am impatient, as usual.
