I'd love some opinions with this set of copper studded balls. I don't know anything about them - got them at a church sale years ago. I'm showing one of the set and I've lightened the photos slightly to show detail.

They're not perfectly round. Each appears to be made of wood with some sort of copper topped stud. Each top is about the size of the top of a thumbtack and I can pull one off with my fingernail. The ball is about 4 3/4" in diameter, circumference is 15 1/4". Weight is 13.8 oz.

What do you think? Old? New?

    Thanks!

Those are recent-ish decorative items that were sold at Home Goods and some such. Indian imports if I remember correctly.

Boules Lyonnaise ( from Lyon ) as opposed to Marseillaise ?

I know lyonnaise are bigger, will check my suggestion
