The quality of this item (or lack thereof) doesn't impress me as Meissen.

Hope you're not correct. But in any case, I appreciate your input.

Spend some time looking at pics on the internet of Meissen and I think you'd agree with Bakers. Also,Meissen is one of the most heavily copied marks ever.

Looks like some of the Japanese copy of Meissen. Agree with the others, Lacks the Quality.

On the other hand, porcelain flowers in good condition by any maker are worth nabbing.

This was sent to me. It looks like the same piece? Had the caption: 19th Ce. Antique Meissen Porcelain DANCING FIGURES CANDLESTICKS

The photo you posted is from a 2019 Barnebys auction. The webpage about them is now broken.
Nevertheless, I agree that the quality of your candlestick just does not appear up to par for Meissen but WDIK.

EDIT: They are not listed as sold in the Barnebys database... perhaps pulled from auction?

EDIT #2: Then I found THIS. Very similar... but different.

Here are these with model numbers which seems about right as well as a reference. Some obvious differences to yours such as the hat. I don't know if this is the same figure being offered at different times at different auction houses or not, or if they have them identified correctly.

Wow. Such great information. You are the best! I wonder why the differences, like the hat? Did you notice the one in the article I posted about cleaning Meissen? The hat in that one is in the same place as in the one I have. But the color of his clothes and the roses are a bit different. I guess there would be differences as they were all made by hand right?
