Featured Austrian artist Hans Richter

It spoke to me from acro$$ the room. As i got closer i could see the $300 price tag. It was on a top shelf, I wasn't going to buy it but i asked to see it. The young man was happy to get it down for me.
Then he said something i had not expected.

"That's not our price tag, How does $10 sound."

So long story short.
The painting is 7" x 9 1/2" Frame is 13" x 15" .
Any thoughts please.

A genre scene. Here's another by the same artist. That bio is fairly typical of those found on some decorative paintings. I would think that's what yours is.

Those are nice asking prices for decorative.

He's meant to be a physician. Doctor's bag, stethoscope, receipt book and medicine bottle. Info that may help your listing.

No Richter. Hmmm?

 

I'd read the artist was Hans Kerber Richter and he sometimes signed H. Kerber. May be mis-information.

I don't think that's the same artist. And I don't think that's an example of that artist's work. I found another work with a bio that supported yours. I'll see if I can find it again.

That's just a "Recipe" book for the "Medicinal Elixer" in his hand that needs to be refilled or has JUST been refilled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND I Love it!!!!! The look on his face and the 'tip' of his hat!!!

these genre pictures are by Hans Rudolf Richter.
that a US gallery drops "Rudolf" is not astonishing to me.
because the "real" and much more interesting Hans Richter was a late co-founder of the Dada movement in Zurich and pays higher prices.
