Speaking of boxes ,I picked up this one thinking maybe Arts&Crafts but darned if I can find the maker. Any ideas ? Its copper(?) and 4 3/4 inches long and 2 high.I swear it says "K. Kate Lulu" .Almost sounds like a native american name. All input appreciated.

I haven't the faintest, but it's a nice little box.

Nice box! I would consider this arts and crafts. Probably made by a talented hobbyist. I find nice pieces all the time made by obscure makers. They are often well marked and sometimes dated. Metalworking was a well-known, if not terribly common, hobby well in to the 50s.

The red may be a very heavily embossed type of wallpaper.

Somebody did a NICE job on that. We used to call it quilling, back in the day. It was a hobby back when.

The top stone shows it best, multi-faceted. The time period for the hallmark stamp is 1962-1993. Indoor lighting here. 20220604_102521.jpg

I was thinking it was a twin half ball or dome lens magnifying glass for map reading or something. But maybe not. Maybe something that slots into a tube, machine, scope or something. What do you all think? It’s about 12cm across. Thanks

This is not an antique... Vintage maybe. Anyway, I share it because I found it at an estate sale, and it's unusual. I hope that qualifies for this thread!

It's the biggest elk antler I've ever seen. 42" The animal must've been huge. I'm pretty sure it's a 'shed,' found in the woods after dropped in the spring.

Back in the '70s and '80s I had a double condenser photo enlarger that had a lens arrangement like that.
