This doesn't qualify as antique, or even vintage, but I've been trying to find out what I can about it. It was purchased new by my late sister. The page shown states it's a first edition, and I think it may be a first printing.

Am I correct that it's a first printing/first edition, or is it a later printing/first edition, and would that make a difference in value?

Correct, and I should've included the title. I know it's a first edition, but I'm hoping to determine if it's a first printing.

In the 1st printing of a recent book like this, the number series (10 - 1) indicates the printing. If the series is complete down to #1, it indicates a first printing. In a second printing, the series would end at 2, and so forth with subsequent printings. The date of the printing is also indicated by the year series (08 - 12) - in this case the presence of "08" confirms it was printed in the first year of publication.

So, yes, it does appear to be a first printing of the first edition (as stated).

Thank you. I thought that to be the case, but wanted to confirm.
