Help me ID a Old Tea Set

    Hi, I have a tea set that i am trying to find the manufacturer for, does any one have any ideas?

    So it's English Imari (sometimes called Japan pattern) and somewhat copying Derby, but it's not by them. Almost certainly by one of the second tier Staffordshire makers such as Radford who made a lot of fluted ware like this. May be impossible to track down for sure, records are incomplete at best from the period, or you may drop lucky and find a marked one while searching. Late 19thC in date if it helps.

    I have a set which has very similar colours and is also fluted. It is more of a breakfast tea cup shape though. I wouldnt be surprised if it was made by the same manufacturer. I have given up trying to find out who made it though. Imari patterns were highly fashionable in 19th C and early 20thC and every one was producing them by the skip full. Also, different potteries were using very similar patterns, so it is almost impossible to identify a lot of them.
