40 years ago this 3 cent, 2-color serigraph was hidden as backing behind a framed print. It captured my heart...things were simpler (an' cheaper) then. I matted & re-framed it, an' its been on my wall in a place of prominence ever since. I cannot say anything about the pattern of the frame...pressed wood, I suppose. It was all I had at the time.

I've considered using it as my avatar...but hesitate to abandon my youth. Decisions, decisions...

The flea market I usually sell at was open today for 4th of July. I didn't set up but a friend did and I thought she may need a break. While I was there I looked over everyone's goodies. I didn't find much, but in a dealer's booth where I never find anything I came across these three beauties. A nicely carved Bakelite bangle, a Victorian gold filled enameled pin/pendant and a delicate gold filled pin with a genuine citrine! Nice surprise :D

Beautiful. Hard to pick a favorite, but I going with that citrine!!!
I am deep cleaning, organized the basement, had to unload school stuff from my car. I did visit an antique mall yesterday, place was jammin', light on jewels, but I found this silvery mermaid for my bathroom- I swear, those people working there oh and ah over things I find, if I worked there, I'd be walking around every day. Doily was a $2 thrift find, anybody know what type it is? Thanks. 20220704_164458.jpg

A whole dollar. No maker's mark or hallmark. Obviously sterling.

Of all things, me, the glassware nit wit, actually found something. Stay tuned. But this was an estate sale leftover, I posted it on the jewelry thread if you can help, thanks.

Design inside and outside. No markings. Heavy, cleans up with silver polish and a Sunshine cloth....may be silverplated.

I collect teapots, and there seems to be a market for odd Pfaltzgraff pieces, so I got this Baja pattern teapot and this Spring Garden? teapot. 20220709_095412.jpg

I got a divided serving dish and a large serving platter in this pattern, too.
I was in a local thrift that researches every last thing, don't know how they missed this W. Ridgley Gaudy Willow set. The teapot was on display from the rest....one plate has a crack in the back, but displays beautifully. The whole set was $14. I left a teacup and saucer there, duh. 20220709_095202.jpg

The doily is Battenburg lace. If it has a specific pattern name, I don't know it!

Well, this week it was quantity rather than quality, but the prices were hard to beat. One thrift had a necklace sale, $1.50.each, another thrift had all jewelry $2 each, and the third had 25% off jewelry.
