RPPC or ?

Hi;

I have about 6 of what I thought were real photo postcards..They have the description on the front of the location but they are just b/w photographs. Each by Sanborn with a number. Nothing on the back...no writing or backing. Measure 3 1/2 x 5.

Are they considered RPPC's without the backing or photos?

If they have nothing on back, then no, not postcards.

 

I have some photos like that. Printed on a heavy paper or light cardstock, same size as a postcard but nothing on the back. I also would not call them postcards. To me, the definition of RPPC (or any postcard) includes that they were intended to be mailed and had certain markings printed on the back (varying by era and country).

 

I also would like to see what yours look like. The few I have are not by Sanborn.
