Young treasure hunter

Hi! So glad to have found this forum. I'm really interested to learn more about treasures! I'm hoping Im not going through a phase but a real interest to save antiques.

I've always been interested to look at "old stuff" going through peoples houses or hearing about my mom going through old abandoned farm houses when she was a kid.

Im 30 now, started a new career but on the side I just enjoy finding stuff in the world. THis last summer Ive had the pleasure to go through an old farm land, that once was a whole town over a 100 years ago. So many of the treasures from the town are still on the farm land hidden, buried, in the river etc. Ive saved lots of glass bottles, beer bottles etc worth 40dollars or so on ebay. Other treasures I've found are parts from an old boat. So just finding those bottles has kicked off this interest to do more. Now.. I'm slowly becoming a hoarder and perusing Goodwill more offten, researching glass bottles online, identifying marks. Many of the stuff I'm finding are worth 10-20 bucks on ebay if I sell. Eventually I want to hike more, check out public lands and do some digging. So slowly I am saving to buy a metal detector and planning on how to get more organized with all the neat treasure I'm finding.
