    Hey folks!

i am thinking of buying one log on auction, but not sure about the mark. It’s a whole service, but I couldn’t find anything on the mark. This quite large and popular auction house wrote down this as Meissen…
    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

The mark looks more like a fake Sevres than a fake/real Meissen mark. To me anyway. The floral decoration definitely looks Germanic, but that's as far as I can get. The set sure is pretty.

The borders look applied as opposed to hand painted. Just doesnt look Meissen quality to me,though I agree its very pretty.

The flower painting isn't up to snuff either, but I like the colors. It would be great for making color in the middle of Winter. As long as you don't pay Meissen prices for it and have a place to display it I'd say go for it.

My book doesn't show this exact mark. The Meissen mark is not even closely resembling this mark. I went through all the marks in my book and none resembled this mark.

Well, I of course won the lot. Not too expensive, but this lot was too lovely to not to buy

Some of the plates are marked with this impressed Meissen mark…

Pretty set no matter what. I think a few recent Meissen marks do spell the name out.
