Silver Band Glass Decanter

This stands 9" tall and measures 3: across the top. It gets narrower as it goes inside...I am guessing maybe an inch. No signs of any scratching from a stopper. I googled silver band glass decanter for images, 1 similar picture came up and it was listed as Christian Dior. But it brought me to Liveauctioneer? no picture and said auction was ended. Any ideas on maker?

 

Hi Kraftblue - this liveauction link below shows a pair selling for $250 in May 2014. It includes a picture which shows a signature on the silver band.

The "signature" on that one says Christian Dior, but there's a tiny square punch following that may be for an actual maker for the silver band.

I looked at that on replacements...nothing like mine. Mine has a little sticker on bottom saying hand wash

I got a very similar one as a house warming gift. It was in the 1980s and came in a red silk lined box marked made in Poland.

For what it is worth...I , too, had some similar items in the 1980s. Though no idea of origin
