A friend bought these last night at an auction along with some eye cups and what looked like small medicine or lab bottles. Everything was colored glass. These are round except for one which is oval. They're like very small shot glasses with ribbed sides and a recessed bottom. And they're on the left of the pic with one being held above. I know it's hard to tell what they are from this picture but I don't have them to take another pic. And my friend is tech challenged so she can't send me another pic. Thanks for your patience and help.
Thank you for the suggestion. I went searching and found some that were similar in shape but the penny licks were about twice as tall as these and mostly clear glass. If they were also with ink bottles, could these have something to do with ink?
That is a bad pic, and no actual size, but they look to me like dappen dishes - little mixing cups, often used in dentistry, but other fields as well... ~Cheryl
I knew I had seen them somewhere but could not for the life of me figure out where. I use to work for some oral surgeons back in the mid-70s & I am sure we had some of these.
