Thanks....they had one of those 10k diamond infinity circle necklace for $10, passed....if you sneezed, the chain would break that's how thin it was.

 

I'd have bagged it and gone straight to the pawn. Let them melt it down to make something decent.

 

Yeah, I should have. It was really fragile, not good diamond chips.

One more of my recent finds: print #120/200 by Cal Hunt, labeled "Ugwamalis Gixdan '97". Not an antique, but it sure looks great in the spot I have for it.

 

I will throw myself in front of a DeVilbiss or Czech cut glass or filigree perfume bottle any day of the week!!

 

poorly framed with no mat......but a nice northern canoe....
I know Calvin.....but haven't seen him in many moons.

 

Lovely bottles, Peggy, all cleaned up. They look great together.

 

Went out tagsaling this morning. How and why dunno. Brought home a bottle of red stew bait, aka red wine. THen I spent $50 in one shot. Two Bjorn Wiinblad wall plates, a storyteller figurine (signed, legit Southwestern) a plate signed Tundra Glass, one mystery glass plate bought for dunno, an old Chinese sewing box with glass beads on top and ....score. A tote bag of small plastic bags. Each holds a Swedish or Danish Chrismtas figurine or decoration. No pictures yet... I'm still trying to figure out which end is up.

 

The group is still sitting on top of the drawer units right in front of me so I can admire them & until I get the new display organized.

...they may be there for a little while longer.

Ugwamalis Gixdan was an actual 40' canoe carved by Calvin Hunt and his nephew Mervyn Child; Calvin Hunt worked on 5 or more canoes in 1993 and after. There are prints available of several of the canoes he carved at that time.

I still have a couple unframed......but sold my share of his others..
