Weird Piece of Blue Glass

    I bought this dish thinking it was something interesting. Has a blue iridescent color. But it looks like the color is chipping off the bottom. Did I accidently buy a piece of Chinese junk?

    Does it look like it was spray painted?
    Might look good on a metal stand for a bird bath. Is it big enough?

    There's quite a bit of this about: it's relatively modern and moulded, then treated with some kind of coating. Nice colour.
